Embraer Executive Jets have reached a new milestone and delivered their 1000th business jet.
Cleveland-based Flexjet took delivery of the jet which is a midsize Legacy 500.
The Legacy 500 is the only midsize jet with digital flight controls. It seats up to 12 passengers with each seat having optional heating and massage, swivel and lateral and forward movement. It also features include the Rockwell Collins ProLine Fusion integrated avionics system. The jet is 6-feet (1.83 m.) tall with a flat floor and 27.6 feet (8.37 m.) long making its cabin the largest in its class.
Flexjet hosted a ceremony in April at its growing new factory in Melbourne, Florida where the delivery of the jet took place. This milestone occurs a decade after the company fully committed to the business aviation market.
Embraer Executive Jets president and CEO Marco Tulio Pellegrini said:
“I’m thrilled to celebrate this milestone. Delivering 1,000 business jets to more than 60 countries in just over a decade reflects our strong ability to listen to our customers and respond to them with solutions, we are especially pleased to celebrate this achievement with Flexjet.”
The Embraer Legacy 500 is part of Red Label by Flexjet, which features access to the world’s newest fractional private jet fleet. Flexjet will also begin taking Legacy 450 deliveries later this year.
Michael Silvestro, Flexjet’s Chief Executive Officer said:
“As part of the Red Label by Flexjet fleet, the Legacy 500 and 450 will effectively deliver the speed, luxury and performance our Owners expect.”
