Airbus exceeds 2015 targets

Airbus has achieved a new record, exceeding its targets for 2015 with the delivery of 635 aircraft for 85 customers.

Additionally, after logging 60 aircraft orders in December alone Airbus has ended 2015 with a net total of over 1,000 orders from 53 customers.

The deliveries in December included 55 A320 Family aircraft, 17 A330s, four A350s and three A380s. These figures also mark the 13th consecutive annual increase in output for Airbus.

After a briefing which took place in Paris recently, Airbus disclosed the figures in an online statement on 12th January. Airbus Chief Executive Fabrice Bregier said:

“This commercial and industrial performance unequivocally proves that global demand for our aircraft has remained resilient. In 2015 Airbus has also laid firm foundations for the future, increasing the capability and variety of the aircraft which we can offer to our customers.”

In addition to exceeding the targets, 2015 has included many other accomplishments for Airbus such as the certifying of the A320neo on both sides of the Atlantic, and the parts for the first A330neo going into production.

Airbus is a leading commercial aircraft manufacturer based in Toulouse, France and has sold over 16,300 aircraft to around 400 customers worldwide.
