A line of ‘Phantom 3’ drones became available for purchase on Apple’s website on Tuesday.

Created by SZ DJI Technology Co., the drone is not exclusive to Apple but has been extremely popular across websites such as Amazon and DJI for some years.

The drone shoots 4K video at up to 30 frames per second and can capture 12 megapixel photos. It flies at a maximum altitude of 6,000 meters above sea level, with speed, direction and camera controlled by remote. Apple have created a compatible DJI GO app that enables the user to experience a live HD view straight from the camera, along with a live GPS map.

The DJI Phantom 3 Professional Camera Drone will be sold for $1,259.95 online via the Apple website and will also be available in Apple retail stores across the U.S.

DJI is the world’s biggest maker of consumer drones and is expected to exceed $1 billion in sales this year. The Phantom 3 Advanced series is said to be more intelligent, more powerful, and more accessible than ever before, offering an immersive, fun flying experience.
