You contribution towards the success of this project will be vital and as the senior flight control laws engineer you will report directly to the director of flight controls.

The role will be highly focused around the continued development and certification of the flight control systems, which will include control law development, performance and analysis combined with preparation and evaluation of flight tests. You will leverage your experience as a senior engineer to continually enhance and develop the flight control laws while providing guidance to junior team members while actively shaping the continued growth of the flight control department.

Your Profile: 

You must be highly motivated and passionate about engineering within aviation and thrive upon challenges. 

You will hold at the minimum a M.Sc in Engineering or physics and will ideally hold CEng status.

You will have a minimum of 5 years hands on professional experience in the development of flight control and fly by wire development with at least 1 year of thrust vectoring experience.

You will have excellent project management and team leading ability combined with the ability to build and shape a growing a department ensuring the necessary structures and process are implemented.

You will have an excellent understanding of a variety of software packages from Catia, Matlab, Simulink.

You will have experience of working with regulatory bodies such as EASA & the FAA.

You will be experienced in coordinating flight tests while ensuring vital test data is captured.

You must have experience of developing;

  • Flight Controls systems
  • Linear control systems
  • Flight System Dynamics

You must have excellent command of both verbal and written English, fluency in an additional language would be highly beneficial.
